ICU Clinician’s Compass™ was created to close one of the most painful and overlooked gaps in critical care training – the gap between clinical knowledge and the confidence, communication, and cultural fluency required to actually feel steady, respected, and trusted in the ICU.

As a Critical Care Physician Assistant, I’ve watched capable new ICU clinician's walk into the unit clinically prepared, yet emotionally bracing for impact. They're thrown into fast-paced communication, complex inter professional dynamics, relentless decision-making – and suddenly confidence doesn't feel like a switch that "turns on." It feels like survival.

The truth is: most early ICU struggles are not about knowledge.

They come from:

  • communication breakdowns
  • cognitive overload
  • cultural uncertainty
  • fear of sounding "stupid"
  • and the silent shame of feeling like you don't belong yet

You are not behind.

You are not weak.

You are simply new to a culture no one trains you for – and that changes today.

ICU Clinician’s Compass™ exists to do what traditional education doesn't: to help you move from overwhelmed and unsure to calm, confident, grounded, and trusted in one of the most demanding environments in medicine.

Through practical courses, communication frameworks, ICU-specific tools, and supportive coaching, I help new ICU PAs, NPs, nurses, residents, and transitioning clinicians:

  • communicate clearly under pressure
  • deliver concise one-liners, sign-outs, and consults
  • build trust and credibility faster
  • steady their nervous system when alarms are screaming
  • understand ICU hierarchy, expectations, and workflow
  • feel like they belong in the room – not as an imposter, but as a respected clinician.

My mission is simple: to help you enter the ICU not just clinically prepared, but emotionally steady, psychologically ready, culturally fluent, and confident in your voice. Because when you feel grounded, you don't just survive the ICU – you become the clinician people trust.

Orientation teaches ICU medicine.

ICU Clinician's Compass™ teaches ICU presence – the confidence, communication, and identity skills no one ever teaches, but every ICU clinician desperately needs to thrive.

Hi, I’m Jordan!

I'm a Critical Care Physician Associate who has spent six years in trauma and ICU medicine – caring for patients, supporting teams, and quietly helping new clinicians find their voice when the stakes feel impossibly high.

Over and over, I watched talented, intelligent clinicians struggle not because they didn't know enough... but because no one ever taught them how to speak with confidence under pressure, navigate ICU culture, earn trust, steady their nervous system, or believe they truly belonged in the room. Their fear wasn't a weakness – it was an unaddressed part of ICU training.

So I created ICU Clinician's Compass™ to change that.

Through practical tools, compassionate support, and ICU-specific communication and confidence training, I teach the skills I desperately wish I had when I first stepped into critical care... so you don't have to suffer your way to confidence.

You don't need to "tough it out."

You don't need to prove you belong.

You deserve to feel steady, capable, grounded – and like you truly belong here.

And I'm here to help you get there.
